Quickly and surely the black Friday and cyber Monday sale are becoming a hit in Australia. Many online retailers joined in the excitement by offering sales, the average discount being 53%, with clothing, shoes and electronics being the most popular items. In America 44.6 percent of retail website visits came from mobile devices, with a total of  5.03 billion in online sales. It just shows the importance of having your website responsive.

What is cyber Monday?

Is the Monday following the US holiday of Thanksgiving, promoted by online retailers as a day for exceptional bargains. Cyber Monday is just as big, if not bigger then black Friday. Its the biggest online shopping day of the year, and last year it hit a record $6.59 billion in online sales, compared to $5.03 billion for Black Friday. That’s up more than 16% from Cyber Monday 2017. Unsurprisingly, part of what pushed it over the brink was mobile shopping. Last year, mobile sales on Cyber Monday reached $2 billion for the first time.

2019 is going to be the year of exponential growth for e-commerce websites.

Businesses, big or small, are realising the importance of looking beyond their borders. A.T. Kearney researchers recently concluded in its annual Global Retail E-Commerce Index report that successful retailers in search of sales growth are increasingly going global by expanding their online shopping operations in foreign countries via their website / online store.
